A New Moon Mingjue Despacho Practice

On this Scorpio new moon, a weaving of ancient practices created living art from our collective pure consciousness (mingjue) practice. Stephanie Eskins Gleason, Zhineng Qigong teacher and healer, led us in practice while Craig Root, mesa carrier and despacho creator in the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition, translated our energetic journey into visible form.

Since we practice in the realm beyond time and space, you can still be part of this beautiful weaving! Watch the full practice on YouTube HERE.

The practice began with a powerful invitation: What are you carrying that no longer serves who you are becoming? What seeds do you want to plant in this new moon energy? Stephanie shared her own journey of releasing. In a moment of heart-centered clarity, she discovered how easily transformation can flow when we trust the mingjue field rather than clinging to fear.

While we practiced in a beautiful healing mingjue entirety field, Craig created a despacho, a sacred offering and bridge between worlds from the Andean tradition. In short, Craig was translating the energetic field we were practicing from into visible form.

After practice, Craig described what emerged: "The gratitude for me coming up from all this is being connected to each of you in your hearts that shared with me. Since this is a new moon there's the presence of the divine feminine. So I created the bottom layer as the womb and red of the feminine and made that the rich base for this medicine."

Below is what began to unfold...

"It started here and gradually came up from all of our emotions. As you were sharing, I placed seeds of different colors, white, black, and colored, inside those emotions. "

"It's hard to explain how integrated the seeds became with what was being expressed of the emotions, that wanting to release, and the beauty of that coming together for me was extraordinarily special."

"This [cross in center] is the heart. When you talk about the mingjue heart, I placed it here. Out of that, this is gratitude coming up and then returning back. One of you spoke of returning, of wanting to come back. This gratitude coming back in, down into our deeper cells, and into our hearts. Gratitude coming to our heart, to give back, to heal. It almost looks like fallopian tubes, so I put seeds right in there for that. And then when you were speaking, I sprinkled a little bit of yellow from the mental body that holds us into these things."

"So there's this mix of the emotions, the mental part that's holding us there and thinking certain things. And then the seeds of wanting to release them. And then it's dispersed with gratitude. This is an alignment, so everybody was coming into alignment and into balance with our emotions. Balancing [our emotions] with our gratitude."

Here's what emerged:

From Craig: "Since this is the new moon, instead of fire I'm going to offer this to the water, to the river that runs down by our where we live. So I'm asking water because water and moon have a great relationship."

"In terms of tides, all the water that moves our emotions inside our body is mostly water. I'm asking water to help us move those emotions, like it is on this despacho, releasing and coming back as water does in a water cycle. If we release it and it does come back, it's now fresh and new. I'm asking water to do that."

"There's a relationship between the Sun and the moon. The Sun with its temperatures creates currents in the water. I'm asking the Sun and the moon to be in a dance together, moving these emotions, helping us move them."

"This is a dance of the sun, the moon, and our emotions dancing together, creating currents of movement. I will probably do some movement or a dance after we're done with this despacho, to show and to encourage the movement."

"Feel free to dance!"

And there you have it.

From Craig: "This contribution is... everything that you hold in your hearts, and you've shared so boldly and vulnerably, and it's all here. I thank you for having this presence here in our home. Thank you from our hearts."

It is beautiful what can unfold when skilled practitioners from different wisdom traditions come together with open hearts. The despacho Craig crafted holds everything we offered; our vulnerabilities, our love, our gratitude, and our seeds for new becoming. Haola!
